LPAPA's annual Patron Party & Miniature Auction FUN-raiser celebrates the plein air painting legacy that helped established Laguna Beach as an artists' colony more than a century ago. To raise funds needed to open the first art gallery in 1918, the original Laguna Beach Art Association hosted art parties and painted special miniatures for their patrons that are rare and coveted by fine art collectors.

The fun begins at 6:00 pm with guests enjoying gourmet passed hors d'oeuvres prepared by The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, while they enjoy meeting fellow art lovers and viewing the miniature paintings to be auctioned.

Mr. Jean Stern, Emeritus Director of The Irvine Museum, will share a historical miniature from his private collection and talk about Laguna's plein air painting legacy, followed by a fast-paced lively live auction!

Ticket Price: $125 (LPAPA Member Price $100)

The miniature artwork can be viewed online at lpapa.org and at the LPAPA Gallery.

If you are unable to be with us on the 28th and wish to register for a Proxy Bidder to be assigned to bid on your behalf, please contact Toni Kellenberg at (949) 291-0882.

The fast-paced live auction, exclusive to registered Patron Party attendees and registered proxy bidders, will commence at approximately 7:15 pm, and is expected to end with passed dessert at approximately 8:30 pm.

100% of the auction proceeds supports nonprofit LPAPA, the LPAPA Gallery, the 2024 Laguna Plein Air Invitational, and LPAPA's year-round arts and education programs. A huge thank you to The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, for their generous support!
