All 35 of our invited Laguna Plein Air Invitational Artists gather in Heisler Park for a 2-hour quick-draw painting competition 9AM to 11AM.

Following the Quick Draw Painting Competition, LPAPA is hosting an exclusive Lunch with the Invitational Artists at Terra at the Festival of Arts (12:30-1:30 pm). Advance ticket required.
Each year the "Future Generation", local Laguna Beach Unified School District art students, grades 4 through 12, are invited for a plein air painting experience with professional Mentor Artists.
Join us at the Laguna Art Museum for a special evening featuring a panel discussion with renowned artists of the 26th Annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational -- Suzie Baker, Brienne M. Brown, Kathleen B. Hudson, Joe Mancuso, and Michael Obermeyer -- as they share about their artistic journey! Moderated by Celeste Gilles, LPAPA’s Vice President.
As the sun sets, you will find the Laguna Invitational Artists setting up to paint around Main Beach, the Promenade and “downtown” Laguna Beach starting around 5:00 pm and continuing into the evening for the annual “Just Plein Happy Hour – Laguna Plein Air Invitational After Dark” Nocturne Paint Out. The public is invited to join us for Happy Hour, meet the Artists and watch as they create their “en plein air” nocturne masterpieces!
Join us at the Laguna Art Museum for a special evening featuring a panel discussion with renowned art experts -- Mark Hilbert of the Hilbert Mueum, Julie Perlin Lee of the Laguna Art Museum, Eric Rhoads of Plein Air Magazine, Jean Stern Emeritus Director of The Irvine Museum, and James Irvine Swinden of The Irvine Museum Collection at UCI -- as they share about the past, present and future of Plein Air Art! Moderated by Celeste Gilles, LPAPA’s Vice President.
Registered LCAD college students will gather in Heisler Park for the Laguna Plein Air Invitational Next Generation Paint Out. The students’ artwork will be framed and exhibited for sale at the LPAPA Gallery, and judged for cash scholarship awards; the award-winning Next Generation Artists will be invited to exhibit their paintings for sale at the October 12th Collectors pARTy.
The Next Generation program is designed to cultivate and inspire the next generation of artists to carry on Laguna’s century-old plein air painting tradition, and provide college students with an art career experience.
LPAPA Signature Artist Dan Graziano is offering a "Suggest Rather than Render" Class in Easton, Delaware starting Saturday October 12th, 2024. Class tuition is $270. Click for details and registration
